No doubt very crazy.I heard a lot of companies do that.So in that case I wouldn't lease.Those who. talk. the drivers into leasing wouldn't just lease a vehicle without. checking it out first.Most the drivers who lease have zero exp and many hear how bad that company is but yet they lease.If a company driver doesn't make money with that company it's not going to be any better for a lease driver in fact probably much worse.

 

I leased with prime back in the 90s they would give you a list of available trucks to check out and at least let you see what ur getting not just sign a lease then u go get into a piece of junk wit 700000 miles on it then u have to get everything up to drive it without getting fines,prime had those trucks ready cleaned and if needed anything done they would before u signed the lease that with Malone is crazy then they don't have trucks at orientation you have to travel to get somewhere so they don't even know what your getting or picking up and for them to keep your maintenance money at the end money out your check to up keep truck that's not right at all

 

And...They are mean.

 

Alright, I haven't been here for a while but I'll share my experience. I've been O/O with Malone for 5 years. It takes a while to figure out how to get in and out but in the process you get to know the agents and develop relationships. You won't get that done in a month. Truck pay is down primarily because of cheap diesel and low FSC. If you're efficient you'll make more at 4.00/gal than 2.00/gal. The biggest issues I have are I regularly have to deadhead ridiculous miles to get a decent rate and Malone's lousy CSA scores. I personally think the whole LP thing is BS. If you dig yourself into a hole, you'll never climb out. But there's nothing evil or criminal about Malone. It is what it is. It either suits you or it doesn't.

 

Flatbed rates are up right now. It's flatbed season. CRST are crooks.
