I've driven on this highway a few times this month, and there is literally no police presence on that highway. Never really had any major issues on this highway, other than the occasional trucker who swerves to the shoulder here and there... Close call, this could of ended alot worse.

From what I've been told, this is every day on the 11 in Ontario.

My heart stopped for half a second when I watched that. Like you said its lucky she wasn't momentarily distracted at the time.

My best friend got married a few years ago. Another couple in the wedding party whom I knew also were wiped out on the way there. The other driver turned around to yell at her bratty kid, crossed the centerline and hit them offset head on. Everyone was more or less ok thankfully. Went down to the lot and I was amazed he didn't get seriously injured or killed when I saw the car.

That was a hell of a near miss. That truck driver deserves whatever he gets.

Good idea having her pull over, definitely need to collect your thoughts after a close one like that.

They're there, more than you realize.

I know a couple guys who have lost mirrors on that road. Not sure how common that is but what happens way too often is guys passing another truck when they can't see far enough.

I remember not too far from there being in a very similar situation. I come around a corner at the bottom, truck coming the other way comes around the corner at the top and gets about 4' into my lane. So not as far over as this one and he got back over right away so it wasn't even a close call but it still gave my heart a bit of a test. :|

Yeah, this doesn't qualify as 'no harm no foul'

Hmmm maybe I just don't see cops around there much, I know 11 has many.
