Mucury sleeper

    any one know where I can pick up a mucury sleeper??
    I have a guy that is willing to make me a look a like but I would rather try to find one befor getting one made

    Interesting. Never heard of them till now and don't remember ever seeing one in person.

    So from researching it appears that these did not open into the cab? Very cool but odd at the same time. Hoping some old timers chime in.

    They opened into the cab, just usually in a crawl thru format i.e. Out of the hole where the back window would be.

    I had one long time ago. Paid $300 for a 36". They had a diamond pattern impressed in the aluminum body. I left the sleeper au natural. (Unpainted) it also had exit side door as well as crawl through entrance to cab.
    Good points about them was they didn't rust!

    Ah.... I remember those sleepers. There was a truck out here in Cali back in the 80's, an old Pete with a butterfly hood went by the name on the door, "El Turbo". He ran the I-5 corridor, So. Cal to No. Cal.
