Only thing I didn't like about the Cummins was all the aftertreatment issues we had at Penske.
Like other dpf setups they hate idle, and clog up quick. But you have to take it to Cummins for a reprogram everytime something goes wrong, or if you pulse out the dpf.
Issues might be better now with all the recalls being complete.HalpinUout and bzinger Thank this. -

If it has a Brand New Cummins ISX15, what is the warranty on the motor?
-
I'm going to find that out today. I was curious to know why at 480k did the truck already needed a new motor?KillingTime Thanks this.

Because the original one stopped running?Short Fuse EOD, buddyd157, crb and 2 others Thank this.

It's because during the years 2012-2015 the Cummins ISX15 had alot of problems with Fuel Pump Ceramic Plungers coming apart and going through the motor, or alot of Connecting Rods will decide to create a window in the block, or excessive Oil Consumption, Head Gaskets, Flat Cam Lobes, the list goes on and on.buddyd157, crb, bzinger and 1 other person Thank this.
