I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

Yesterday a bitter dispatcher (not mine) who hates his job and openly despises drivers deliberately withheld information from me that caused me to be delayed about three hours picking up a load. When he gave me the info I needed, he looked ready for a fight as he knew that I knew what he had done to me. I had a choice of driving late (and suffering through a 20-hour wakefulness period) or being late for delivery on a critical load.

I simply thanked him, went and got my bills and trailer, and delivered the load on time. I also called MY dispatcher and told her about this guy's act of childish vindictiveness. She took notes and informed me that Upstairs would be informed of what happened. She seemed quite indignant and that was gratifying for me.

It is true that ###holes are everywhere, but it is nice to know that somebody has my back if I need it.

 

Headed back to Blue Mountain now. Shopped at Dirt Cheap wedge waiting out my 10, found a Honeywell air purifier for The Hot Chick for just under $70.00 that we saw on line for $300.00. The filter access door is bent and has trouble staying closed. If held closed it works fine.

Bungee.

 

The Hot Chick likes her air purifier. She stopped in for a visit last night where I overnighted in Seymour IN. I went to the movies across the street to see Wonder Female after she left (she couldn't stay all night, still training to be a baker at Panera).

It was a good visit and a fun movie.

Now, back to the salt mines.

Gotta drive overnight to make this next run. I hate driving overnight.
