Passed the PTI but failed the road test. I thought the reverse would have been more likely. My backing was perfect though. I was flagged for not moving over a lane because of a worker crew on the shoulder. I slowed down and moved over some, but not all the way over. The traffic was heavy. He said the left lane was clear. I thought it wasn't, but I'm not 100% sure when trying to remember back. This was in a small town, not the interstate. Was also flagged for a left turn. I was in the right turn lane but a trailer tire crossed the dividing line between left turn lanes. He said I did that twice. I should have swung wider. I was actually surprised the trailer tracked that way. Also, I approached a stale green light too quickly. I went through the intersection during yellow. He said it was legal but creates a bad public image for walmart. He said i had 8 flags but those were the only he mentioned to me. Oh well, I'll try again in 12 months.

Rather not say at this time. I don't want folks to think I'm complaining because I'm not. I barely passed my PTI, so that didn't give me many positive points. If I apply in a year there is little doubt I will pass everything. I wasn't confident enough doing my PTI. Spent too much time thinking if I missed anything. I think being confident goes a long way.

 

I understand. It's hard to kill the nerves, but if you can you'll do a lot better.

 

Keep your chin up and your record clean. You now know what to expect, 12mos will fly by. Kudos for actually coming back to post your experience, even though it wasn't the outcome you wanted. best of luck to you.

You're crazy lol. I'm sorry I didn't tell a driver how to do a pretrip on here for the 20,000th time.

 

You'll ace it next time. You were probably nervous like a lot of us were and may not of been thinking clearly. Take his advice and do it that way next time. Also, some safety people are more picky than others. We have a few guys here I wouldn't trust to drive my own vehicle.
