I am looking at a possible glider build that is only capable of being powered by a C12 Cat. I am trying to find out if a S60 Detroit would fit but wont know until next week or so. I know in the past c12's had some weakness in the head gasket department. Also was told that cam followers or something in the cam drivetrain go bad about 500k miles. Does anyone have any knowledge about them. Would be about 1650 torgue, hp about 450 or 460. Thanks for any help.

Why is it only capable of being powered by a C12?

short hood, not enough room to fit an S60. I talked to the shop today about it. He said they are reliable. Just need to do the cam journals or something at 500k. Tops out at 1650 torque and 460 hp with a polished exhaust manifold and better turbo than stock.
