We always used a strip cut out of an old inner tube for things like that. Wheelbarrow tube works pretty nice for smaller things, and a truck tube was good for stretching over the ends of tarps.

Your pile of corner protectors are making my eye twitch. Get an old cb antenna and mount it vertically on your catwalk. Then use it as a stacker to stack those corner protectors up and out of the way. One antenna will hold about 30 real easy

Most of my corner protectors are actually inside the cab...had to clear it all out to pull the access panel in the floor to change the range valve on the transmission. I was shocked at just how much equipment is in there...and remember, it's only a day cab! Yes, that blue thing is a 5 gallon bucket, for size comparison. Like I said, it all has to go back JUST RIGHT or it won't all fit. IMG_20170415_121852.jpg

Yeah, the yellow things secure snap binders. And that bucket in the door? That REALLY makes life easier...I hate wearing gloves in the summer unless I'm slinging chains...and even then, I usually don't. Gotta have something handy to get my hands clean again and I found these at my local NAPA...

Needless to say, I don't take many passengers. Like I said, it's all got to go back just right, and it's all out of my way while driving...plenty of room for me. If I had a sleeper, most of this stuff would be under the bunk to be accessed through the side door...but I don't, so it's got to ride on the floor in front of the jump seat and between the seats.

I made my rubber bands buy cutting up an old tire tube. Worked great. Just sayin.
