How is that minimum pay structure working out for truck load?

Are you talking about the short haul pay?

I have not had any runs that utilized it, but I have talked to one driver who had. Seemed he got 2 runs for one day and made about 120 extra miles after empty move and PU/Del. He did say both of them were drop and hook, so I assume that would make for a better day. :p

I was told by my trainer that averitt had made changes with short runs, i.e I think is anything less than 150 miles would pay you 450 miles.

short haul runs are exactly that. As long as you pick at a customer (not a yard) and deliver to a customer (again, not a yard) Averitt will pay you for 450 miles even if the run is less than that (including empty move miles)

I.E. 50 miles empty move, plus 300 miles PU and DEL, you will get paid for 450.

Oh really I thought I understood it also counts relays at the yard. Then again it's been a while since I was in truckload.

How's the miles in TL? I was told around 2000 miles Average a week. I could swallow that. I really wanted the job though.
