I just wait for a couple gravel haulers and questional looking trucks to get ahead of me. Never was pulled in the 3 times I've ever had to cross a scale during a blitz.
72 hour blitz huh?

I happen to shake their hands on a every other day basis. Trucking isnt my only job. I work right along side them matter of fact every other day as I am a captain in the fire service. I own my own business with 3 trucks and 3 drivers which all happen to be firefighters as well. I strated the business on the side to supplement income since pay for being in the fire service isn't they good. This Has nothing to do with hatred. It has to do with enough is enough with all these regs on truck drivers and companies. I know there has to be laws and rules to be followed. But at what point is enough?? and then they sit back and preplan an attack on the trucking industry with this 3 day long "blitz"to refill the governments pocket book. Strike isnt such a bad thing. It's your right to express your feelings except it in the form of not moving your truck for what's right! It's the same as when all detroits Michigans firefighters went on strike for higher pay. Firefighters are called heros as well... and I can tell you now I'm far from hero I am a fire officer firefighter because I chose to be so guess that according to you it makes all firefighter non heroic and police officers as well they Also chose their profession. your point makes no #### sense. We all choose what we want to do. Doesn't mean In some people's eyes you aren't a hero. or someone important. Trucks my friend haul valuable medicines which would fall under the category of "pharmaceuticals" and to ssome people those truckers are concidered heros without those trucks those Meds dont get delivered. Besides that hero or not it's the mess the trucking industry goes through to do it's part in moving this country . Stop acting as if everything the FMCSA does is to better this industry. It's not about being affraid of anything. It's just the #### point of the matter that you as a working person has to go through the beating of FMCSA just to make a buck have you shook a truckers hand lately and told him thank you for what he or she does?? I doubt it from your reply
HopeOverMope Thanks this. -

I never said any where that being a fire fighter isn't something to be proud of. I never once said I don't appreciate what they do. #### right you deserve thanks and appreciation for what you do. Had that been mentioned earlier I would have thanked you for your service to the community.
I said being a trucker doesn't mean your a hero and should be thanked for what you do for this country.
#2 no where any where did I even imply that every thing the FMSCA pushes on us is great. Show me where I said said that. -
i feel the same way though. I dont work on these days, forget about it!!! Im not going to be harassed by some newbie state trooper trying to get trophy points with boss man.
The whole situation reaks to me: i don't like it. Because every professional drivers CAREER is at stake: times have been changing for a while and the petty levels of troopers/d.o.t are higher than I've ever seen. Most of them dont have integrity, they're lazy cell phone holders like the rest of most people
