1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I drove for W/S back in '07. Nice little company - although I did sit a lot which was frustrating at times.

My wife was sent in at the last minute to get her gall bladder removed so I had to put my starting date off, another week or so. I have offers from W&S, May, System, Werner and Swift.
I don't think I should have applied to so many, lol. Made the choice harder for sure.

I will be starting somewhere next week.

If you had the choice to work for any of the above, which one would you choose for availability of freight and the ability to keep me moving with good hometime and as few hassels as possible?

That seems kind of unusual too me. I don't sit a lot, especially when I compare them to other companies I have drove for.

Don't take that wrong, because I have sat longer than I thought was necessary from time to time. But I call anything more than 2 hours....sitting ;)

I think the key here, is to maintain constant communication and consistant driver standards. I don't want anyone here having to guess about my ability to cover a load, at any time. And I've had some real pain in the ### loads thrown my way too. But they got where they were supposed to be, when they were supposed to be. If not earlier.

On the other hand, if I tell them I can not make a delivery (which is rare). They simply hand it to another driver. They don't question why.
