Hellooooo Truckerland. I'm reporting to you from Huntsville Alabama. And you're looking at one happy trucker. I got unloaded a couple hours ago, and relayed to dispatch that my hours were a bit thin. So, I got a load that delivers on Thursday morning. Perfect. I was given the wiggle room necessary to pick this load up first thing Wednesday morning, and then deliver the following day. So, it's reset timeAs an unintended bonus, this is one of my favorite Millis customers. There's a security guy there that is one of the nicest, funniest people I've ever met. Love that guy. Another bonus, it's drop-n-hook. Another bonus, this place is super organized, hassle-free, and quick. It's a 600 mile run between deadhead and loaded, which means I can get super close on Wednesday. Fantastic! I am hoping to get myself on track to run hard for 6 days and burn my hours. That way I'll get good miles in a week AND get a day off. In a perfect world, that's how all of my weeks would go. It can't always go like that, but it's nice when it does. As time goes on, I have become a lot less picky about where I land for a 10 or the rare 34. Tonight, I am in what I would consider moderately desolate, super quiet mom-and-pop place. Literally. I met both mom and pop a few minutes ago. I used to look at a place like this as a "hell no" for a 34. Now, I'm looking at the unmitigated potential for peace and quiet. Rock on. Tonight I will sleep like no man has ever slept before. I'm gonna hang a "do not disturb" sign on the door, turn the phones off, and shut the world out. Life is good. My good mood and level of relaxation are both impenetrable. Hope you are all doing well, and enjoying your day as much as I am. Peace guys. Long live the trucker's redneck holiday, also known as a 34. See y'all tomorrow.

It's 6:15pm, and I'm going to bed. And sadly, I'm excited about it lol. The younger version of me would be shaking his head. #partyanimal #livinglikearockstar

Good evening everyone, greetings from Erie, PA. Sorry for not posting yesterday, I was pretty whooped when my day was done. Picked a load up in Cherokee AL bound for Groveport OH. I delivered that load this morning at 8:30am. My dad had a delivery about 10 miles from me, and I was hoping that we'd be able to hook up for breakfast, but no dice. He got unloaded later than expected, and my next pickup took me east, and his was west. So close. My next load was nuts. That was without a doubt the most difficult dock I've ever had to hit. It required every ounce of knowledge and skill I've acquired over the last 10 months. It was a ridiculous obstacle course. Even had to use my dif lock while backing to get through the mud. Good times. When I was done I had to leave the dock around the opposite side of the building, and a couple cars had to be moved in order for me to squeeze through. What a mess. This load is bound for Fulton NY. I'm about 4.5 hours away, should get there around 9 or 9:30. I was hoping to get a little closer tonight, but way too much time got wasted waiting during my unload this morning and my pickup in the afternoon. Oh well, it is what it is. Hoping for a smoother day tomorrow. I almost stopped a little west of here. My in-laws live close to the T/A in Kingsville OH, I figured I'd call them up and see if they wanted to grab a bite to eat. But, since I am heading to New York, I thought it would be best to go as far as possible tonight, even if it was just an extra 40 miles. I don't want to be in a position to struggle for parking at the end of the day, because it can be really rough up there. Definitely enjoying the cooler weather, it's nice to be able to sleep without the truck running. My pillow is calling, so that's it for today. Talk to y'all tomorrow. Peace, guys.
