LoL yes I don't have inside knowledge that's what there doing just seems like it to me.They left me in a spot a few times booking loads in advance with them so I just stopped booking in advance with them if they had a load on the day I needed it and got a decent rate I would load it they are different to work with,to put it nicely but they always paid on time when I worked with them. Its like the old saying the devil you know is better than the one you don't know.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens when elogs are mandatory.
HopeOverMope, KB3MMX and izifaddag Thank this. -
Seems the best way to act? hehe.....Has anyone ever owed you thousands of dollars. It has a way of taking the nice guy right out of you. You had no problems but if someone did you would have no issue with them taking it to the people (judge in court) right? Rate con and signed invoice or not if you can prove you was there with the ELD and maybe a dash cam i can see you winning in court.chopper103in, izifaddag and Brian Junior Thank this.

People have been convicted of murder on circumstantial evidence alone, drivers have hard proof. The new electronic logs show exact concordances at the the exact time. Its all logged for law enforcement. The driver is also required by law to keep that log for six months. Port of entry also snap a picture of the driver and truck as they drive by, thats every 30 minutes of driving in some places. WHY DO BROKERS THINK THEY COULD WIN IN COURT
HopeOverMope Thanks this. -
You better keep those logs longer than 6 months. I've got a buddy getting audited for 2014.izifaddag Thanks this.
-
Law says 6 months for the carrier and 8 days for the driver, anything after that and they are SOL
-
If you claim Per Diem you keep your logs 7 years minimum.
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
That's the record keeping minimum for FMCSA. Aside from the income tax reasons, a carrier would need them to support an IFTA/IRP audit for three years.
-
Also many carriers used to store paper logs in junker trailers. I talked to several outfits decade or more after I worked and learned that they would have to empty about half of one trailer packed with employee folders and logs to get to roughly where mine is supposed to be.
No thanks. Im not putting people through that.izifaddag Thanks this.
