Brother, not sure if you're aware but, Health department and buildIng inspectors are not even in comparison with trucking and about what we deal with or how we are treated. You must be new to this line of work?? Please save yourself that valuable breath for when you may really need it. If you catch my drift. Comparing Cheeseburgers to trucking and then building a house to trucking??? Makes no sense. I happen to do inspections on businesses each year with the fire department as that's also in my line of work. But we don't go out looking to cost someone thousands of dollars and it doesn't have to be fix at that instant unless it's something extra stupid going on!! Truck inspections and the whole point behind them are nothing to be proud of. You just don't know the inside scoop as to why they do them. Your just blind and think it's a great thing because all you have to do is drive. This thread is meant to get eyes opened to what's really happening. We also are inspected or stopped at random anytime through out the year! Not just in a 72 hour span!

It's sort of like OSHA going into a factory and looking for problems that might injure a worker.

OSHA comes in when ever they want which is how many times a year???? At most business it's Not that many if any at all. and then of course when someone complains. Then it's only for that one visit or if someone gets hurt! However can you pull up the statistics as to how many trucks are stopped each and everyday and inspected because the officer needs to meet his quota. It's jaw dropping as to the numbers! Yeah I agree they grab some pretty crappy equipment off the streets but for the most part it's a nuisance to ones that are stop who have no reason to be stopped! All so the officer can meet quotas trust me. I work along side of motor carriers when we are on traffic wrecks with semis involved. And I always ask questions. They tell me those things. I've also sit in and passed a DOT audit with my own business. And me and the inspector had a nice conversation as he was a firefighter on the side of his inspecting job. So we had a lot to relate to. But anyway. Thanks for your comment also

It's a dog and pony publicity show. It's gone on for thirty years. Don't know why you're stressing. I've crossed 3 scales since last night. 2 were closed, and one was semi working(not busy)

No issues today. I got level 1 Monday pre blitz in a brand new truck. Got my clean bill of health and am waiting on my gift card. Her only comment was boy you run your 14 down low, and your 70 this week. I went right past numerous DOT no issues. I even gave a friendly wave. Nothing to fear here. Only one I won't cross is Wilmington, he's a jerk.
