my ultimate dashcam died and i ended up getting a RM DC300 so far so good

 

Dont laugh but I have used a Dash Cam Pro for years. They are not fancy but they do work automatically. Take a few minutes to install the sd card and set up the device. It will work indefinitely. Not the best picture or sound quality but good enough for court.

 

Get a standalone Dashcam.
Get one you can't get at a truck stop.
Don't get a cheap one.
1080p minimum.
And it needs to be able to accept AT least a 128gb memory card.

 

Hm, I self use one from amazon. It was a little bit expensive. I payed about 110$. The bracket I made self. It records up to about 8 h in 4K. I use it in the truck ad in the car. I had a accident with my car. It recorded every thing in 4k. So I could prove, it was not my fault. Hm, after the accident, the other driver told me he has o insurance. The video is near perfect. It records all on a 128 GB card. The bracket I had to make self. So I made a few different brackets for freigtliner, volvo and for my cars. You ca watch a few videos in youttube at schluckowsky

Last year I dipped my hand in the pocket and I bought from Dieselboss the HD system. Three cameras, one forward and two on the mirrors towards the back. All are 1920x1080 full HD that are recording on an SSD removable drive for 120 hours then rewrite.
I'm very happy with the quality and the way the system perform. In pitch dark I can see everything on the sides as the mirror cameras have infrared. I will order one from them to install it on the back of my trailer.
It was not cheap I can tell you that but I would do it again if I have to.

I've had one of these almost 6 mos now. It runs 24/7 in my truck. You must turn the motion sensor OFF
for it to perform properly.
The motion sensor is a selling feature but it doesn't work. Trust me or talk to Bill @ www.securitysystems.com. The first month or so I was having issues with the A261 but after speaking with Bill at Securitysystems.com he told me how to Set It Up so it would work flawlessly. And does it ever!

I bought a Garmin DashCam with the GPS feature and it was JUNK! I bought a Rand McNally D-300 and it was JUNK too. THIS ISN'T A SALES PITCH. I AM NOT COMPENSATED FOR BEING A VOICE FOR AUSDOM. I AM A TRUCK DRIVER WHO HAS BOUGHT 2 VERY EXPENSIVE DASH CAMERAS AT LOVE'S AND UNFORTUNATELY FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY THAT THEY ARE MADE TO SELL NOT MADE TO USE. I BOUGHT MY FIRST DASH CAMERA FROM BILL @ www.securitysystems.com
FOR $ 299.00 BACK IN 2014. I WAS DRIVING FOR SHIP EX AND THE WINDSHIELD LEAKED ON MY 2015 CASCADIA & CAUSED THE CAMERA TO SHORT OUT. YES THEY DID NOT COMPENSATE ME FOR IT.

PRICES HAVE DROPPED SIGNIFICANTLY AND THE AUSDOM A261 IS I THINK BY FAR THE BEST UNIT ON THE MARKET ESPECIALLY FOR THE INVESTMENT.
