That Macy's unload took nearly 6 hours.
At least I should get some detention pay out of it.
And I was sent an additional 2 pplans- both to the same place, and both with the same reply of "NO! I will be on home time." before they took the hint.

I was a bit short on time from that point.
I had to get to the terminal and contact my DM to get the rider permission form sent, then get to the girls place to pick up Lorelei. And they had asked my to cook dinner for them, so I had to figure in the time for the store.
But I made some chicken curry for an early dinner. There was only me, Leann and Lorelei around when I was there. Everyone else was off doing their own thing.

But I got Lorelei picked up and back to the TA with a bit under an hour left on my 14.

    Grand Junction, CO.

Finally on the road again, with my 13 year old Lorelei.

As we were sitting here I remembered a math game from high school.
    It's called Quizno.
    Here's the deal.
    8, 3, 2, 5, 6, 11.

    Six random numbers.
Using the first 5 numbers find an equation with the result being the 6th number.
You can add, subtract, divide and multiply, use the square root or the square - whatever you want, but each number can only be used once.

It was a game Mr. Boccleoni invented when I was in high school back in the 70's. He would announce 'It's Quizno Time!" near the end of class if there was time, and it would begin.

Those were the numbers Lorelei gave me when I asked.
    Can you solve it?

    By the way...
She did in about a minute, in her head.
No calculators are allowed by the way. We did not have them back then.

He was a very good math teacher and had some exceptional students. I wasn't one of them.
But someone always found the solution, even if it meant staying a few extra minutes.
It never ceased to amaze me what some of those kids could do with numbers in their head.

    FerrissWheel and scottied67 Thank this.

    (8×3)-(2+5+6)=11

Her solution was similar and essentially the same.

    Phoenix, AZ at the terminal.
I got here with 3 minutes left on my 11. If I had remained on I-10 to 75th street I would have run out of time, but I got off about 4 miles from that exit and took the 'slower' roads.

It was a load of used tires and wheels from the Denver terminal to Phoenix. I was shown where to drop it, but I didn't open the doors like the rest of the trailers in that row. I had opened one side and stuff was wedged all up against the doors because many tires had fallen down during the trip. I was afraid to open the other side or to even back in with one side open, so I closed it back up.

I am in Phoenix terminal as well. Just picked up Tbar from CMC. Here for the night, well morning I guess at this point.

Back in the flatbed area. If you see an idiot running around with a light sabre it was definately me.

    Moosetek13 Thanks this.

The light sabre will distinguish you from the other idiots running around ...

Would have last night anyway. Now it'd just be the only flatbed truck attached too a load of Tbar.

Though honestly, if you have ever seen me before unknowingly. I'd be stupid easy to spot me. Might have shaved the Viking beard, but I've still got long flowing blonde locks that go with it. ( The kind of stuff that goes past the shoulders.) And if I'm wearing shorts, which I am right now. Got a Koi on the inside of the left leg, and a tribal piece on the inside of the right.

I was sent a load early this morning.
Not much can be said about it, it was only 1 loaded mile and 2.5 miles away. I had to bobtail out because they don't release empties.

So we headed over to Love's to await our next load. After 2 hours there is no pplan, so I'm guessing the freight isn't very good around here this weekend?

That's a mighty long trip. Looked to spy at the map earlier but they didn't have it going. Not sure how it is on the van side. But there's tons of loaded flats out here. But then again, right now the whole flatbed division can't even cover all it's freight, according to our VP. (And thats more so because we had a dry spell that caused drivers to jump like flys.)

But judging by the cluttered mess that's currently sitting around here otherwise, I'd guess it might be a bit slow. I'll go to the terminal and do a little BS examination, while my student takes the next 6 hours to wake up.

As I search for bobtails, and find a bobtail at loves as my student pulls out. I know you have a newer truck @Moosetek13 but is it a 18. My blonde runs deep.
