Well! First off is you sign a no compete clause when you fill out the carrier agreement. Secondly, you're trying to steal food off of someone else's plate. A customer who they spent time cultivating a relationship with. Chances are it will back fire on you anyhow.

Think of it like someone going behind your back to sleep with your wife... Except stealing money from you while doing it...noluck Thanks this. -
errrr... @noluck & @LoudOne ...Do you think a broker really loses sleep when they stiff you out of a good paying load by telling you "they are all in"...all the while taking an 80% cut of the top. Man, oh man, this is America...please wake up from your slumber.
I do not compare healthy competition to wife-stealing...and me increasing my take home is not unethical (I'm sure brokers would agree) -
It's called having ethics... Yes sure any broker is going to try maximise their profit. They would be stupid not to. Same as you would be stupid to not negotiate a better rate. Get what your happy with and make money. Broker does the same.
What's the problem? From the sounds of it... Arrogance....noluck Thanks this. -
I do NOT see any arrogance...I see someone whose "hungry" and tired of being screwed
-
Doesn't matter if someone else is a ####ty person. You don't have to be. It's called integrity. I suggest you get some, and then you can wake up a better person!!Hurst, snowman_w900, MJ1657 and 2 others Thank this.
-
I call it being a person who has no respect... perhaps you should get some...
Being hungry to succeed is very different to what your talking about. Doing that is WHY brokers do what they do. Because they know some unthical dirt bag is going to try and take THEIR customers after being hired and paid to do a job....Hurst, snowman_w900, skootertrashr6 and 3 others Thank this. -
I personally have little sympathy for 3PL's. For every "customer" they "lose" to a shipper deciding to use a carrier directly, they have plenty more lined up and waiting.
Besides, less hands in the pot are better for all parties concerned.ReeferOhio and Truckermania Thank this. -
@nax one last thing. If you were truly "hungry" as you call it. You would get off your backside and go door knocking and find your own customers. Not be a unethical disrespectful manchild....
You will be a long time without a man card...... Mate.TripleSix, skootertrashr6 and Ruthless Thank this.
