Anything they 'put on his record ' is disputable. They have to backup what they put on his DAC, HireRight, USIS, or whatever its called now. The Whole reason companies can get away with this crap is the roll over and show your belly attitude.
I drove for Knight and I had a situation which they flat out told me to run a 700 mile run illegally. I recorded the phone call and took pictures of the qcomm messages I sent stating that I couldn't do this run legally. I picked the load, promptly went 75 miles and parked it for the night and woke up to screaming phone. Upon answering, one they stopped swearing at me, I told them I had audio and a record of the call which they made and that I had pictures of the qcomm and that since they threatened me, I was sending copies of it to UDOT (I live in Utah) and to the Utah Trucking association and OOIDA. I did all three and the salt lake office was visited. I worked there another year and a half and never had an issue with someone telling me to run that way again and suffered no retaliation. I got a dedicated run 2 months later and ran it for over a year and a half until I left the company.

Stand your ground, know your legal rights and record everything and don't be afraid to stand up, respectfully at first, forcefully if bullied .

Or you can just roll over and show your belly.

Do you know Susan D. then, the driver / trainer? She started a year or 2 back, fell in luv with her trainer (male) ... they teamed for awhile, and now SHE is a trainer? Just wondering.
Tell her Anne says hi (my wife) if you do~! ;)

Yes! I have met Susan and her BF. I ran into her at the Loves in Chicago land a while back off I94 US6. She had a student.

I hauled Reefers for a whole year only once did i ever have an issue and that was only cause they gave me a hot load which i only missed by 2 hours and had to wait 2 whole days to get unloaded. Which was great cause i had my 34 hour break and got to enjoy some time off.

I've brought in osha and the laborboard without one bit of retaliation or any black marks on dac.
I suspect the reason is because they know I'll stand up for myself and won't just rollover.

Her and her BF are very positive people and seem so happy with West Side. It is my niche as well. I wish we ran all 48, but it is a trade off.

The Sue I was referring to is the actually the director of driver services. I had the title wrong. She is really cool to deal with. Sue tells me I look like Tom Sellick back when he was Magnum PI.

That, she is. ..... the driver Sue / Susan, anyway. Tom Selleck? Young'uns.... LoL.

Great; don't tell my wife that; she's looking at WST, wanting to go OTR herself... another one for the wife, LoL.

    wife : plus one
    dad: plus zero

    LoL~!

I'll let you know if she ends up going that route; we are working on getting our 13 year old son in camp or something "engaging" this summer, besides the Xbox....! :)

    DoubleO7 Thanks this.
