If they want you to take the test, the company should be paying for it. As for passing it, IDK. At Marten, they make you take it and make sure you fail and either you have to use the CPAP or loose the job.

At the physical, the crooked doctor made me put my chin to my chest and then measured around my double chin and made the measuring tape excessively loose so that he could get a 16" neck measurement. Crooked, yes. In the previous year, I had taken 5 DOT physicals and none of them found a 16" neck. I know I don't have sleep apnea, don't even sleep on my back. I later found out Marten owns stock in the CPAP company. If you like to be micromanaged, maybe you'd like to work at Marten. Terrible company. Other problems with them, too.

You are at an optimum age to start with a company you want to retire with! Just keep in mind that in trucking, even more than life in general, change is the norm. But Saia is a good company to work for, from everything I've heard, or read about them.

 

I found out that when i parked my truck in the yard management would come out late at night and siphon fuel from my truck so i couldn't get my fuel bonus. And did you know that when you're hired the company also hires someone to sit and watch your driver facing camera for 14 hours a day? Also pretty sure i hit a bigfoot the other night.
