I'm not at the moment. But see if they will tell you how much the other drivers make or how much each truck averages gross per year. That will give you an idea.

    cke Thanks this.

25% of $2500.00 for 5 hours work is great money. How much does the load pay, and how long does it take to get the job done?

Ask them what did their average drivers make per year. Then ask them what their top driver made.

Top drivers usually make 1.5-2x average. If they don't, and the average wage is less than say, $50000/year, RUN...they're cheap.

My friend, you need to look at the entire picture.

You mentioned kids. How is the hometime with this company?

Having to do your 34 hour restart 500 miles from home might not matter to a single guy, but could be a deal breaker for a family guy.

What kind of equipment do they run? Is it reliable? "If your wheels ain't turnin, you ain't earnin" is more than just a catch phrase.

The others on here have given you good advice in asking questions. You really need to talk with some of their drivers. Just walk up to one and tell him you are considering hiring on. Good or bad, you won't be able to shut him up and you will learn more than any other way.

    Luck in battle
