Freightliner hood lock

back in the days of apartment living, some of us would put a matchstick in the door jamb, towards the bottom of the door. if the door opened up, the match would fall to the floor, letting you know someone entered.

really, try some sort of truck parts store, maybe even a dealership for such security devices, like locking fuel caps, and that cable release i mentioned earlier.

 

Could buy a volvo. They open from the inside like a car.

You could go with a piece of chain,a couple eye bolts and a lock. Not familiar with the Freightliner,you'd have to figure out the mounting location.

That's why you're asking! Real trucks always had the latches on the outside, and nobody worried about it.
