Feel like training me? I might be starting at Western Express sometime next week, but I'll have to get their refresher course first. Dry van for now, but eventually I want to do flatbed for the exercise because I'm too #### lazy to do it unless it's for a job. Scared I'm gonna get a horrible trainer.

Could you tell me if it's likely I can request and get an automatic truck when I go solo? Also, what's their idling policy and are there APUs/inverters? Is the free TV thing "free" or free? How's 11 western regional for miles if you know? Thanks

that is a heck of a good question, i only know is regional, northeast,

 

I am currently on NER here. I have 3 warnings. 1.You will run out of hours at a shipper.
2.be ready for 80,000 pounds on every load.
3. If your truck needs even the most minor thing serviced at the terminal in Bethlehem except to be there a minimum of 4 days

But you can make decent money starting out. Good luck

northeast regional, manual, dry van.

 

DOT physical done, and drug test. they checked me for S.A and my BMI. every thing came out good, another two year's DOT physical Card

 

When do you start? I've made it 1 1/2 months solo so far and man it is rough but I'm surviving. I would recommend staying out 2 weeks at a time they usually give you a good load over the weekend. Your bank account will thank you. Otherwise you don't make any money.

 

Also it should be illegal to take a 53' trailer with a full sleeper into some of the places I've gone

 

yes, i live in NJ and am going to PA so ill prob leave to stay in the hotel on sunday afternoon. orientation starts at 0530 monday sharp.
