At which time your top scale will be even higher. So here's the deal: $28 is 40% more than $20. By my math, that same 4-day week would earn you $1,504.02 at your current top scale. That's a good gig. Keep your eye on the prize.

I am sure you already know this but at full scale you would be at $91,000 a year for a 55 hour work week plus benefits which are about $300 a week. While small parcel does pay better you still have a good paying job, if you like what you do. Other than some linehaul drivers you will make more than the majority of truckers once you reach full scale and work for the most stable company in transportation. You don't ever have to worry about them closing the doors.

I'm still wondering how your employer feels about you posting actual pay stubs. Are you're expecting to being anonymous here? It would be so easy to identify you through payroll records, that you might find yourself on the outside, looking in.
For the purpose of discussing your wages, just your hours, gross, and net pay would be enough, no other figures are relevant.
At UPS it's always been "do your work, get your job done", and "keep your mouth shut", has that corporate mentality changed that much?
Just wondering -
i don't give a plop. If they tell me to knock it off, i might think about it. Something to do with the first amendment...............?
i post my complete stub because i want this to be the REAL deal. Posting just the hours/miles worked and the gross and wouldn't be as exciting. i want this to be a real 100% unbiased, 100% RAW, 100% honest diary.Freak_On_A_Leash, AnthonyM757, GoBlue487 and 1 other person Thank this. -

UPDATE 5/20:
NO A/C
Yes, per the contract each truck is SUPPOSED to have working AC. i don't know how this is going to play out---will it be grievanced? The newer trucks do have AC, but when one stops working, they are not getting fixed. -

Well, i really didn't want to write this, but in light of the recent negative situation(s) last week, i feel i must comment:
Obviously, i'm not happy about it and condolences to anyone's family who was affected.
Now, you will notice that in post #237, i wrote that "TOO MUCH RUSHING = NOT GOOD FOR (MENTAL) HEALTH, SAFETY, AND JUST BAD BUSINESS."
Also hence, this is where i got my screen name----Rushin' Rabbit............
The point i am trying to make is that while the unfortunate situation did happen at a small pack facility, it can also be very stressful at UPS Freight as well. We are, essentially, two separate companies under the UPS corporate umbrella. And essentially this is Overnite rebranded as UPS freight. However, quite a bit of the UPS corporate-ness has definitely trickled down into UPS freight.
It can certainly be stressful here at UPS freight; One of the large reasons why is due to the late-starts----and thus you are now "behind the clock," so to speak, and have to hustle to make up for time. This simply equates to added stress.
i just had a stressful day yesterday, and i wasn't too happy about it.
Just bringing this up as one aspect of UPS freight. i still think it's a dynamite company though.
However, IF you are looking for a total non-stress trucking job, i might suggest truckload grocery---where you are essentially just dropping and hooking trailers at large grocery chains------Whole Foods, Safeway, Teeter etc.
Or large department store chains.Last edited: Jun 17, 2017

Same thing happened at UPS in Columbus a few months ago. Murder-suicide. My buddy just said hi to the woman minutes before her husband gunned her down and shot himself. Crazy.
