I've been curious about Las Vegas and wondered if work exists there that doesn't require runs to California. I hear so many bad things about that state for trucks.

It's not so much BAAD. it's a State unlike any other in these United States.

First off, it was born in warfare. It was created literally to make sure there are votes in the Senate that day to push through in typical strong arm fashioned certam limitation.

85 Percent of that entire state is Federal Property outright. The People and the States etc have nothing to do with it for the good of the people. With that said going out under the crush and cremation of megatonnage delivered by the Russian Satan II's would be a fitting end.

Prostitution is explicitly not legal in Las Vegas proper. Or in the county around it.

There are some very small towns around the state in which it is legal and protected by the law. Just because it's legal does not mean you should run off and do it.

Walker Lake is a small lake as it goes. However there and all points west used to be a storage of all and every kind of weapon of war in bomb, bullets, brains etc. At some point due to a variety of very good questions it ended up closing it's unfortunate becase it is in support of the entire eastern Pacific and at one time it contains irreplaceable weapons and spares of war. The United States would have to be in a position to be in a total war before she will open that extremle

There are a number of smaller signs in which you are now legally required to check your fuel tank. It might be 73 some odd miles before you hit a station with fuel and it will give you the knoledge you see before venturing out there that far from civilization

If you are in a car, put nitrogen into your tires before you come here in the Summer time. The pavement has the power to completely destroy whatever tires you hae on there. If you are running upgrade some miles and pass a sign telling you to turn off the A/C do it. Chances are very good your vehicle will no longer have to pant and suffer needlessly fighting to cool itself with that AC going.

What part of several cases of quality water don't you understand? And a Ambulance type reflected blanket over top plus a shocked wrap iducer

Do not allow yourself to be scared badly by the overflights. The Military take a perverse joy in getting below your windshield. SCREEECH!!! RWOAR!!! sound of freedom as far as Im concerned having spent much time at Dyess AFB Texas. love those Bones..

Plenty of good trucking jobs in Las Vegas.
Haven't checked, but there's probably some where you don't have to go to California. I set the cruise control at 56 mph in CA.
There's some line haul jobs where you might run in to California, do a drop and hook and head back to Las Vegas & some run to Texas or other states.
    Line haul jobs:
    Estes Express
    Mountain Valley Express
    Old Dominion Freight Line
    Saia
    Oak Harbor Freight Lines
    USF Reddaway

Plenty of names for other types of trucking if you want them.
Tru-Line Corp (www.trulinecorp.com) has some dedicated stuff, out and back from Las Vegas.
    Watkins-Shepard
    Pan Western
    Clean Harbors
Night Train Trucking - has dedicated run to CA and back.

Temp Services(probably set you up with something):
    Labormax Staffing
    Staffmark

I don't know if I'd use nitrogen in tires. I bought my car brand new with nitrogen filled tires. Every month for the first couple of years the low tire light would come on. I'd top em off with air. It's been a year now since the light has come on.

I use nitrogen exclusively. I am AWARE that there is a percentage of so called room air as part of the Nitrogen sold by the tire dealer however the oxygen content and the other gases are pretty low in Volume, Ntrogen is still the primary and largest amount of gas by volume present inside my tires.

Sometimes my tires get old over 5 years old heading to 10. (I got two on my tahoe now that are 15 and dry rotting but they have nitrogen for the time being, due to be replaced all 4 tires with nitro and hankooks in a few weeks. Provided I can conform that the 245/70's I need will carry 3000 pounds each at 44 PSI.

I have never had a tire fail here in the Arkansas summers or come off it's beads in the cold frozen winters. We are fixing to get into the 100's again this weekend and in about 3 weeks to roughly 16 weeks hence we expect that I call a hellfire time. A burning in which the sun in the shade on my land would reach 130 exactly at 2 pm the angle at which the sun gets under the canopy and penetrates to burn anyone and everyone in reach.

I first started with Nitrogen, with Gas shocks for the Ford Torino GT, and they were very heavy duty nitrogen gas shocks made to stay cool as possible during a period of top end racing what with goes into the suspension and body roll etc. I had a sway on one end and leafs that must bave been off a Pines trailer from the 70's on the other end. ugh... Anyway, it took about 3 weeks worth of drinks to my crying pansiy waist baby sniffling poor mechanic who had to pull the springs, install the shocks to fit inside the coils and build new fittings until everything got on there to where DOT inspeciaon said ok.

IF Nitrogen was so good why are we not using it in big trucks? What? We don't play with little green toys we prefer helium. You can blow things up really bad with this. =) he he he he. ///puns.
