If that doesn't work, the state of Tennessee might pay for cdl school through the WIOA Program, but it takes a while for the paperwork.

Sygma Network - only need a cdl permit. This is on-the-job training to get a cdl. You run teams with a cdl driver and help him unload at food service customers such as fast food joints, restaurants, etc.

If you can manage a private or community college cdl school, there are a few companies that will hire you at graduation.
Do the online applications, then follow up with a phone call.

 

You'll get your cdl and a job soon. Just takes longer through the WIOA Program.
Maybe get a credit union loan for private school; just don't tell them you already turned in a 2 week notice at work.

I think Dynamic Transit is ok for California drivers. Trucks have Tripac APU.
