Possibly. My checks fluctuate between $0 and about $1800 per week. I've made a little over $4000 per month since I got out of the shop in April. I definitely won't make $60k this year unless the next two quarters see major rate hikes and I include the July-December $.05/mile bonus into the equation. I just meant at the rate I was going with my weekly pay. I literally made about $2000 a month before May. So from May to next May, then yeah, I might.

The main thing is that I get dispatched like a company driver all the time, and they always give me low paying and heavy loads. I just routed myself last week and will net about $1700, while the week before that I made $510 while being dispatched. I don't ever turn loads down and try to just preplan the higher-paying ones before they route me.

In all honesty, I made more as a trainee at CRST (starting at $.25 a mile and getting the gradual pay raise to $.33) while getting at least a day off per week than I have here (so far). I don't even take hometime (plus had problems getting routed when I tried earlier in the year. I have to go out-of-route and take a few hours to check the mail and say hi to my mom.). It would take weeks to get out of the hole from missing work if I did, anyway.

I just see the potential for more profit if I can get them to let me route myself. They recently changed the maximum deadhead percentage to 10% or less. When I first started last year, I was doing 20% deadheads but made $1.50+ per mile and actually made $1000+ checks. I am under the impression that the $.94 including fuel surcharge that a lot of these loads pay (up to about $1.25 including fsc) is just them skimming the hell out of the pay and not just taking the 25% they're supposed to get (I'm on full-maintenance so it's 75% of gross). If not, then they'd prefer to plan me out 3000 miles at a dollar than 2500 at $1.50+ and wear out their trailers faster for no reason.

Why in the world do you guys do this lease purchase crap it's a rip off the company is the one who makes a profit. 60k a year for being so called " your own boss " that is just sad, you guys need to realise something, you want to start a trucking company then start one by getting your own authority, if you cant afford it or don't have the knowledge then educate yourself or remain a company driver.

Whatever you do don't do lease purchase, it's like if you're renting an apartment, who's is making a profit ? The landlord of course you're just paying his mortgage

So are you planning on going to apartment buildings and telling people to GTFO ... if they can't afford to buy a house, they can't have roof over their head.

When you rent a place, the owner makes sure that your rent is not greater than 30% of your total monthly income. At any higher percentage than that, they know that collecting the monthly rent from you would be difficult to impossible. Trucking companies know that they are not paying you enough to cover the mechanical and maintenence expense, they want you to fail. Ask to see the percentage of the O/O drivers that have completed the full $1 buy out scam. They don't advertise the slease deal as a successful program, because they know that they are the ones that ends up profiting, while the majority of the O/O drivers are getting played as the sucker.

Omg you are still trying to get drivers to sign on to Celedon and Quality Leasing? I bet you still haven't convinced one single person after all this time. Nobody believes you.
