Who do you work for now tip (if you don't mind my asking)? I don't know much about you but I like the stuff you post and I believe you are very smart and help alot of other truckers. Wow that was a run-on sentence.

Bean, I don't drive right now. I drove over the course of 8 years from mid-95 until early '03. I got out because of all the BS in trucking. When I got out, I dumped my CDL. I just got tired of it, man. All the DOT hassels, DAC, long-********* tours, incompetent dispatchers and bosses, blah, blah, blah.

I'm overseas right now, but I'll be returning to the USA soon and will look into getting back into trucking after I get back to Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm in no hurry to get back in. If I do make the leap, I'll take my time at each step to make sure I get back in on the cheap AND end up at a GOOD outfit to boot. That'd sure be nice.

 

Tip, thanks very much. I believe I am leaning towards CCC if I can get a few questions answered at my school and at the CCC Corp Office.

Slac, which terminal are you gonna be runnin' out of? I'm trying to find information about CCC's SLC terminal.

 

I will be western region out of SLC.
I will be making 5 cents less per mile but wont go past denver, The wife rides free and they let me have the wifes dog for free too.
I should get my truck today (waiting for drug test results) and then i head towards lincoln Neb for orenetation(sp?)
