Not sure what would show on your MVR other than tickets in an accident, but it will only show on your PSP if an inspection was done OR if it was DOT reportable.

To be considered DOT reportable it has to meet one of 3 conditions:

    1) An injury occurred for which treatment away from the scene was required.
    2) A fatality occurred.
    3) Any vehicle involved could not leave the scene under its own power.

So no tickets, no inspection, and not DOT reportable, I'd say you are good to go. Even if it does show on your MVR somehow, though, being not-at-fault means it shouldn't present any issues.

Ok so here's the situation I was in in 2014 in Chicago. Lady says I rolled back into her, the damage to her car was visible, but obviously old due to the amount of rust around the chipped paint, cop was called, he shows, says it's a he said she said deal, no citations, I was free to go, she was ticketed for driving without a license, and was towed for no insurance. He listed me as vehicle number 1 on the report. Cop told me before I left that he was pretty sure it was a scam.

TMC safety (T.O.D.D.B) and Terry Fitzgerald claimed that even though the report claims that there was no citations or fault assigned, that because I was listed as vehicle 1, that in the state of Illinois, I'm considered at fault.

I was told 2 months after this that TMC lawyers settled it out of court for $8000. Her car was a beat to hell 2003 cavalier.

And no this accident does not show up on my MVR out my accident reports

Almost every one of the replies in this thread has an error in it. Hand, your OK! Keep on trucking! People really need to study what an accident is as defined by the FMCSA and what an accident register is, and how data is collected by the feds under MCSAP and the reporting system!

And for the 50th time in these forums. The FMCSA does NOT classify accidents like people think they do. They only define an accident as one that meets the criteria as stated in some of the above posts. If said accident does not meet said criteria the FMCSA does not consider it an accident. In fact I do not even believe the FMCSA uses the phrase DOT Reportable. And even when an accident does meet this criteria it only means the authority holder must enter the accident in their accident register. Nothing further is done.
