Researching Oakley on here, I didn't find a lot of useful information on the few threads there are about them. That said, here's a little info I gleaned from their recruiter Edna (now bear in mind that this info is based off the questions I asked [I've attached the questionnaire I use on all companies below] and as it applies to my level of experience, etc}:

Hey U.S Otriad, I've been considering them as well for the last 7-8 months. I live on Long Island NY. and they just opened a terminal in Elizabethtown PA. I'm a local van driver at YRC, and getting burned out, and looking to pull tankers. I don't have 2yrs OTR, just local and they seem willing to bring me onboard! What state do you hail from? They have NE regional Edna told me. NC, VA, MD and up! If ya get anymore info pass it on!
19d and U.S. Otriad Thank this. -
Edna's a hoot! Next time you talk to her, ask her what a Vermont Cow Kicker is .... she'll laugh!
I was all set, reluctantly, to go Schneider, or a smaller van company out of Arkansas, but I'm a tanker guy at heart and remembered Oakley. I like what I'm hearing from a couple of their drivers I know from other company days in NJ.
Go for it! They'll probably make you drag a box for a year first, but tanks are their bread & butter.crazeydude Thanks this. -

I talked to a driver in Louisville Ky at the tank wash one nite about them. He had been with them many years and he hauled the bourbon only pretty much he said. He was making the 58 cpm rate or something like that for hauling the bourbon whiskey etc loads and was very very happy with his pay and everything else he claimed. And he was the kind of older gentleman that you could tell what he said was honest and truth. I bet you will be very happy with that company if go to work for them. I see them a lot at the tank wash in Charlotte and savanah and never met one that seemed unhappy.
U.S. Otriad Thanks this. -
Yeah, I'm debating between four - Holland Enterprises, CSQT, Purdy Brothers and Oakley. I'm a tanker guy at heart, and over 50, lol - While each company has its pros and cons; Oakley and Holland are at the top of the list, with Oakley in a slight lead because of multiple terminals.
Thanks for sharing that encounter with me - and thanks for your service, brotherman - RLTW! -
U.S. Otriad Thanks this.

Ex -Jarhead here! Semper Fi! I'm old too, just turned 54! LOL
U.S. Otriad Thanks this. -
Hey U.S, I was interested in Bynum a while back, but they only have the one terminal! And there pay isn't so high, and no autos there! I would prefer an automatic in a tanker. I hauled gas and it made it so much easier!
U.S. Otriad Thanks this. -
Oh yeah! USMC! Uncle Sam's Misguided Children! I heard of you guys, you are always marching somewhere ahead of the Girl Scouts, and just behind the Cub Scouts! Hahahhahahahhaaa!
C'mon now, that was funny & you know it!
You do boot at P.I.? I grew up just north of there in Charleston...
My best friend went Corps, I went Army - poor ####### ain't been right since!
Thanks for your service, brotherman - all bs aside, there's a special place in heaven for Marines.crazeydude and slim shady Thank this.
