This is only my second year in business but it seems like there are more and more picks and drops on the weekends this year? Maybe because it's so much busier than last year? I've delivered on 3 weekends in May and already 2 in June. Also picked up on a Saturday a few times as well. I worked maybe 1 weekend last year though.
Not complaining, just curious of others have noticed that.
You guys getting more weekend work this year?

I havent....but i like my weekends off.

I used to, but the driver that had my run before me still feels entitled to run down there on weekends, so he called Human Resources and cried like a little punk.

" No one here gets out alive" so what is it with wanting to work weekends? Time to get a life. No one on their deathbed is whining that they wish they had put more miles on or extra hours in the office.

Everyone's situation is different. I don't have kids or a wife and work a couple months then take a few weeks off and relax or work 14 days straight and visits friends for 2-3 days all over the countryfargonaz Thanks this.

Thats how I like to do it.
Find something for Friday to carry me over for a Monday delivery. Usually I'll call and have Mondays reload pre-booked on Friday. Start my 34 by Sat night,.. fresh and ready for a new week by Monday morning.
Hurstfargonaz, kylefitzy, Orangees and 1 other person Thank this. -
Some of us stay out for weeks,.. months at a time. Then take 2 - 4 weeks off and enjoy the money I just banked.
If I am not home,.. then I like to maximize my profits by working. I dont hang out at bars or check out the local scenery very much. Weekend is no different than any other week day for me. I dont do 9 - 5 or strictly daylight. When ever the wheels can roll, day or night,.. they roll. Work is work,.. I have toys to play with at home.

I've done back to back Saturday deliveries where I ended up close to home. I've gotten really good rates too.

Time to get a life? If you like what you do, the hours spent doing it don't really matter. If you question the hours in the office, or the extra miles... perhaps its time to find a profession that you enjoy?
