What's up, been a creeper of the tank forum, just made an account, lot of good info on here. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good starter companies? Prefer regional work. I'm a recent truck school graduate. Got my tanker endorsement and passed my hazmat in the process of getting it on my license. I live in Cullman, Alabama. I have a prehire from Schneider but kinda want to stay away from the mega carriers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They got their year in and mover on
    Superior carriers

I'm still considering Schneider, they were gonna fly me out to Houston for the training but I was wondering what else might be out there. It'd be nice to talk to some of the guy still at Schneider

Schneider has excellent training! With our type of work, good training can make or break you. For a mega, theres alot of guys happy with them. I was going to go with them, but they didn't do tankers where I live, so I chose a company here to train me and really liked out

I'd say Schneider. I'm going with them soon. Will be doing a refresher in Dallas then off to Phoenix. You're in a good state though in the hiring areas of many companies.

I'm still with the orange, I've done a lot posting about their pay and such in a thread, it will probably have most the answers in it that you may have. But feel free to ask me if you have any other

Tidewater Transit hires new drivers just out of school, and there's a terminal in Decatur, AL (Trinity actually) out on Hwy 20. I run out of that terminal. Been there since August '13.
