Oh, I don't plan on it bein' a hobby, it's just another useful tool at my disposal while I'm working. I just want to be able to hear and transmit more than the 3/4 to 1 mile that I'm doing right now.

My coworker has one of these dohickeys, can it be of any use to me?
-
Yeap it will confirm or not that your radio is reading correctly..Its a start..Use it if he will let ya..
JReding Thanks this. -
Get the cb to a cb shop and have it peaked and tuned.
There's not much stuff more annoying than talking to someone that has a stock radio. -
You can't be serious?
Peaked and tuned ? Now that's funny right there. Can you draw a picture ?
-
The FCC limits the wattage of a new cb out of a box, a cb shop turns the gizmos and gives it peak power.
-
I know what peaked and tuned is. It's "Hacking" a perfectly good radio out of the box. I honestly thought you was kidding.bored silly Thanks this.
-
I had my Connex 3300 peaked and tuned, I know some self proclaimed cb ers here think it's a waste of money and not necessary.
My radio sounds great and gets out greatDiesel Dave Thanks this.
