I realize before even posting this that the carriers on this forum aren't responsible for this because the carries who will end up taking this load wouldn't dream of being on a board like this one. That said...

Our good friends at MetroGistics have posted this...

It would be REAL nice to see this load and ALL of the cheap ### loads sit until hell freezes over or until they pay a worthwhile price! But as long as there are those carries that are willing to turn their wheels for these prices, we all continue to get hurt!

I'm confused about something. Is the load being offered at $1800 for 791 miles? What's the .28cpm for

I must not understand? I come up with $2.275 per mile; $1800/791mi = $2.275 per mile.

Completely agree with letting them sit as they are too cheap.

But it is the examples such as this that I want to know what they are charging the customer. Am tired of the comments that state " well if the rate works for me, I do not need to know." Yes, we do.
If Metro is charging $2200 to the customer, then they are keeping a marginal 20% +/-. But am willing to bet they are charging far more knowing some ####### will take it first thing to get out of TX.

It is .28 per unit per mile. $2.275 a loaded mile for a carcarrier is not going to put money in your pocket very often.

$0.28/mile is for each unit. $2.24/mile for the full load! I wouldn't even begin to consider this load for less than $3.50/mile for the entire load.

My bet is they're charging $4/mile at least. $3,200 for the trip.

Now I understand. I WS curious cause the overall rate would be decent in my opinion for a flatbed rate, but I'm not a car hauler do I don't know the work involved. Thanks for clearing that up
