    Please tell me if i look at it right. One person would hold the key in "enging start" position and another person would be jumping the starter?

    Just turn the switch to run, and jump the solenoid. Don't need to hold the switch

    Other person should test for power at small control terminal on solinoid. If it is hot and the stud the + gables hook to is hot the solinoid is bad.

    Well, it did not work, my dad said that the starter just smokes when he does the screw driver trick.


    We tried pull-starting the truck today and the front drive axle, driver side wheel was turning backwards as I was towing the truck forwards and my dad was releasing the clutch in 6th gear while being towed...
