That's strange. You guys should all be running to haul this. According to my buddy @SLANT6 ALL freight has to move no matter how bad it pays. All of you that don't haul cheap freight need to work on becoming better team players. Lol. :D

Metrogistic is taking anything 40% to 80% off the load, every load.
They are a disease in our industry.
I don't haul anything for them this year, I was on a past cherry picking good paying loads but not anymore.
By the end of last year within 3 months they were trying to rob me by not paying for 1 unit. It happened 4 times.
To keep my sanity at normal level I decided to not consider mertogistics at all, at any price. They are thieves

I'll bet the load went quick. Can you really blame MG for taking a nice profit if some moron bites on that load. I think some carriers would rather have their truck moving with something than sitting waiting on a 600 mile fairy tale $3.50 or better a mile load from North Mexico. But it would be better to just haul some sailboat fuel out.

Because I run both auto dealership and a transport company I have the ability to see both sides.
I have seen dealers quoted 900.00 and then have seen the same load posted on the load board for 400.00.
This has gotten out of hand for both dealer and transporter with the middle man taking the largest share.

I'm being dramatic to prove a point. If we ALL said no to cheap freight the rates would have to come up. But aslong as people haul it " for fuel $" the brokers will always win

    That's not what I said.
I NEVER said for anyone to haul stupid cheap #### off any load board.
Now here is what I did say. So brush up on your reading comprehension.
If you as a company, bid on NEW CAR work from Ramp or assembly plant, it includes all vehicles consigned to you. You cannot cherry pick the traffic.
    Now go pound sand.

Ok well explain this to me. Anyone can feel free to chime in. How is it when contract fright is awarded and there are lanes that don't pay well we are just supposed to suck it up and run at a loss. BUT. When that same lane has aged units and a spot buy Is given out that lane can all of a sudden become a revenue generator ?
I will continue to " cherry pick " and not run at a loss. And guess what. If we all did just that then this topic would never have to be brought up again !

Guys who don't own and run a truck won't understand. These aren't $20000 Penske rentals where you can wheel into the nearest TA and get fixed up. They cost money to operate and maintain. If you continue you run at a loss where does that money come from?

The old days of bowing to the big 5 car makers are over. It's about time we learn our value and remind the manufacturers that WE are the asset. Management and big company owners are so worried about contracts that aren't worth the paper they are written on that they rush to sign them without realizing that they aren't profitable. But hey atleast you can brag to your drinking buddy and your interweb friends that you have Honda. Who cares if it pays.

I for one am not out here just to say I'm a car hauler. It's high risk high reward but if $ isn't the reward than why do it?

Yup you, your attitude, and your 1 truck fleet are the asset. Keep living in that little vacuum you live in.
The old days of dealing direct with the OEM's have been over for many years. It's dealing with a 3rd party logistics company now.

In the big picture of things you really do not know what you are talking about.

And by the way, Honda work pays well, ask anyone from Virginia Transport.
