I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

Tried to get a bit of a workout today.

Mistake.

I'm in Corinth MS and the air is made of hot soup. I'm in a remote location and there is no one around, so I said to myself, "Self, why don't you use this solitude as an opportunity to practice your Iron Cane technique?" I broke out the cane, stepped out of the truck,and got to work.

Self didn't plan on overheating. It happened pretty quickly. I've been back in the truck for hours, sipping cool water, and am only now beginning to feel better. Not one of my better ideas. With no one around it could have gotten really bad pretty quick.

Beware the heat and high humidity.

Also beware the aging process.

 

Insomnia. Nice little side dish to the nausea and weakness of heat exhaustion.

Grrrrrr....

 

Just be sure to coordinate with Jacob or Charles so they can get you a ride from Tupelo. And arrange a room.

 

Yep. They'd have somebody meet you at the bus stop in Tupelo in a mini van. They'll take good care of you--haven't lost one yet
