Crete Carrier - A Year In Review - Fall 2013 Going Forward

Finally all cleared to come back Crete is probably sending me to Lincoln since that's where started orientation 3 years ago hopefully I don't have to do all 5 weeks out with a trainer

 

Hope I can stay away from the north east as much as possible seemed like I ended up there a lot towards when I was ready for home time

 

My eye doctor told me I can do 6 weeks anymore since it put so much strain on my right eye

well im starting with Crete on Monday the 3rd. I started with Crst ( 6 mths ) went to JB Hunt ( 7 mths ) then back to Crst to finish my contract. Now im hoping this company ill like. at first I wasn't going to go till I heard that they were going to 65 mph. I cant stand doing 62. well I guess ill see you on the road.

 

DOT physical done! Showed Doc my 90 days of compliance for my cpap and he said it was a good thing the other Dr. at the clinic didnt do my physical because he requires a year of compliance. Doc said he isnt the only one he knows of that requires that either. What an industry

 

Wow, the DOT is just letting things go, aren't they?

 

What are the rules on sleep apnea?
Did anything ever pass?

 

A lot of it had to do with liability to the Dr. or clinic. He said they've found some driver's were only wearing the mask for the required time right before the DOT physical to be compliant, and bot wearing it the rest of the time. Same with meds. Some driver's are only taking High blood pressure meds shortly before the exam to get their blood pressure down for the exam.

I also said I was losing weight to try to get off the cpap and he said I'd never pass a physical. Once your on the machine the DOT wants evidence you're still on it.

 

Don't know how this will affect you all. If I remover right you do Walmart and Amazon loads. Walmart tells truckers if you want to haul their loads no doing amazon loads.
