I had planned in a thread earlier plotting my progress but time and arthritis made that not happen. I have rounded the corner tho and can see the end so I figured I would start it here. Hopefully you guys enjoy and maybe a few will be able to use what I have learned. Cause this has been a learning process.
I'll post the before pics here and carry on with more posts as it sort of happened.

This was a big job. Asked my self several times what was I doing.... it all went pretty easy but filled one bay of the shop with parts. I got to see what service it had had and the monkeys that did it. Not good.

The dash had been worked on a few times. I had our shop add a spike and suspension dump valve and pressure gauge. So they could have done a little of this. But the main part was done by schneider monkeys. I ended up tearing the whole dash out and replacing the front "skeleton" section that everything g hangs from. It came out in pieces, and I broke nothing while taking it out. Note the duct tape around the radio. It had a noose going up to the airlines to keep the radio from falling down. The new piece is also attached. [/ATTACH] 20170614_115357.jpg 20170614_191459.jpg

20170626_205534.jpg The dash set me back a couple days so I didn't take any pics of the bunk insulation. Here is a small left over piece. It's called Armacell. It's used in the commercial HVAC world. A friend turned me on to it. It comes in lots of different thickness and in sheets rolls etc. It's closed cell, anti microbial won't soak up water etc. It's not cheap but compared to the crap they had in the walls it's amazing stuff. It comes peel and stick or you can use your own adhesive. I used the peel an stick. In the bunk after removing all the panels light speakers etc I put 4 sheets of 3/4" and two sheets of 1". All the large empty voids got Ruxul. 1.5 full bags stuffed in everywhere we could. I cut a couple access holes in various spots to make that happen. I will epoxy the pieces back in. I plan on covering the over head hard reflective plastic with grey trunk carpet. Soften up the interior and take some of the reflections away.

Can't seem to upload a link to Armacell product. Anybody interested send me a pm I'll get it to you.

Next day spent relocating cb up into the upper console, ran new coax to both antennas, new antennas, wired direct to the radio. Trashed the combiner. Added a new Delphi deck with Bluetooth and Sirius radio and satellite antenna. Did an in dash amfm antenna also.
Next. Door and floor sound insulation. More tomorrow. Cold beer and bed calling me.

Get you some indoor/outdoor carpet and put the pad under it. I really like it.

I looked at hardwood, or should I say vinyl wood but decided to go with carpet. Got a 12x13 end of roll commercial grade from a lady that live on my road. She works for a large commercial installer nice blue loop carpet $50. Also picked up the thick foam underlay with a waterproof membrane on top.
