I am a local driver. Content where I am but more money would be nice. Saw an ad for a different company doing the same thing.says pay based on experience and email resume. I don't want to waste their time if it's not enough to switch. Nor do I
Want my resume out there in a small town where everyone knows everyone if it is not enough to consider. Wondering what some suggestions might be to figure out the pay with out actually applying.

If the company does the same thing, do you ever see their driver at a shipper or receiver? Talk to one if you do.

I didn't what to be the jerk that calls when they don't list their number even though I have Googled it. Also thought it might be a little rude to call and ask, however it is the most direct route We don't run into the same places but I could try to catch one of them on the road. Thanks for the replies.

I don't think it's rude to ask what the pay is. You're (potentially) applying to them, but it's not a one way street. They want to see if you're right for them, and you wanna see if they're right for you. Nothing wrong with looking out for you and asking what they offer. Compensation is one of if not THEE most major part of a job. Not to mention if you don't ask upfront, once you do get in there they might think "well hell, he never asked lets try to lowball him." But I'm a pretty negative person, that scenario may not happen. It's just things I think about.

Imagine running locally on a route that is very specific, and seeing an ad on craigslist for your job... I used to work for a company that would do that to us every now and again.

Use another phone if you are afraid they may find you out, adopt a slight redneck accent and ask.
