I miss flatbed. Dry van can be so BORING!

 

It did hit like 110 while we were stacking. Only downside really.

We pulled under the fuel island at the terminal to secure it, only way to make the whole process a few degrees cooler. Brought a coil down to El Paso.

I did make the unfortunate mistake of placing an ungloved hand on top of the deck while stacking. That won't happen again (until it does. ) Felt like a stove top. My knees got blistred (through my cargo pants,) when I went on top to weave the chain through the rails.


The unloading process for the coil was crazy, just ran a cable through it and hooked it to the forks of a heavy forklift. And mind you we are on a hill. He then simply with no chocking whatsoever just sits the 42k lbs coil facing downhill. It didn't roll, but I can't wait to see the damage when one finally does.

 

I like boring.

 

Lancaster, just got back from Outback. Throwing the truck in the shop tomorrow for a differential, transmission, and power steering service. I'd rather catch it now at 349.5k miles than after the warranty runs out.

 

Most of the time I'd agree with you.
I delivered a Pepsi load yesterday that I picked up the day before in Denver. Spent 5 hours waiting to pickup the load then 6 more hours waiting to deliver. Missed my next load so I found a hotel with truck parking and I'm still there. If our Saturday guy cannot find me something before Monday I'm probably gonna sit right where I am.

 

I hate days like that. Luckily I haven't had any like that since Lorelei got on the truck.

We are at the Petro in Albert Lea, MN tonight.
I like this place, and Lorelei was impressed. It's the nicest truck stop she has been to so far.

 

Giant Viking statues and rotissere fireplace. Yes please.

 

I remember long time ago back when it was a T/A and was talking to someone and called it a nice truck stop, and I was politely told, it is not a truck stop, it is a travel plaza. I argued a little and was told again, a travel plaza and not a truck stop, this by a manager. Ohh well

 

Soon to be in West valley Terminal. Student upgrading in the AM. I'm delivering a load and coming back for another. Then it's off to Vegas for the holidays. (Home chaotic home.)

 

Swiftes picking up much can loads in Worland wy this week? Went thru on Thursday night and that little truck stop down the street from crown and cork must have had at least 10 swift trucks ......no room for daddy lol had to go to thermopolis to park....
