I prefer to be in that passenger seat during dynos. Never mind the risk to my ###. ive already been killed a couple of times in life in creative situations. One more into the wall wont matter.

What I do get out of that dyno is if she will ride easy, pull arse off or get lazy between gears etc. You can learn so much about a tractor while harnessed to one on a dyno. Besides I am a nerd out on numbers bug man. I like numbers that Dynos produce. Give me all of them to sleep on and ponder for a couple of weeks.

Yes. I knew as I typed that I should put in the words 'on edge'. Then I didn't do that. 2x4 on edge as a quick guide.

We did this at the tire shop I use here in Phx. Cheaper & faster than taking 8 tires off and loading onto the balance machine and then reinstalling them.

May I asked what the OEM calls for in height for your suspension? So did you set it at OEM specs or lowered it 1 1/2 inches form OEM specs ? I'm having a similar issue my air leaf suspension. I set mine to OEM specs .

I set it according to oem specs, which is 9.5-9.75" from frame flange to the weld seam on the housing.
I just ran it 600 miles to NC where I am camping until Monday morning to load, and it's riding like a pickup truck and no more galloping.

You boys freakin out about runnin on jackstands better not ever walk the pits at a bracket race, lest ya stroke out smack dab in the middle of the pits! We do it all the time to get rear and trans temp up and stabilized before our first run. Consistency pays off... Just gotta use common sense, like you should be using for everything else in life. Now, I'm not knockin any of yas, so dont take that road...lol

there is a huge difference in a car and truck running on jack stands, especially one that is "galloping"

Well we can all calm our heels now about running on jackstands, cuz I did exactly that myself (yeah, I like living on the edge,) and I corrected the gallop my adjusting the ride height...it's gone now.

Yeah I mean a guy isn't gonna slam through the gears up to highway speeds while on stands. Its going to be a gradual buildup to a moderate speed.

Slowpoke KW, Grubby and W900AOwner Thank this.
