Ok, it's hard to be certain without actually hearing it myself. However, odds are you got a little bit of valve lash. I mean it could be somewhere else but if they were just playing around with the rack then that's where I would start. Doesn't take much for one to start tapping. I had an issue where I did a valve adjustment and when adjusting the jakes one spring was over-tightened a hair, was causing the noise. No damage or anything, just was outta spec. Something to look into before running it too long.
