You would have to call and ask as it will be area specific but Steven's isn't known for high wages. There isn't a high demand for water trucks right now, hourly rates to the truck are based on demand.
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
Yeah, I was looking more at the sand Hauling division. I've done water hauling. Would do it again, but not my 1st choice

They're a bottom feeder company. They, like Schneider , swarmed in during the boom, undercutting everybody in sight. They made it work, Schneider pulled out and bailed. Stevens INDEED reviews all mention horrible management, cheap pay, broken equipment.
Unless you really want to do oilfield work, I cant recommend them. Most of the outfits I've seen are paying darn near half what was being paid several year ago. The whole area has been flooded with cut throat companies running junk trucks, with junk drivers. IMO you'd be better off applying to an energy services company directly and work for them. I deliver out to Midland quite a bit and there are "Drivers wanted" signs all overShaggy, Anthonydubois524, rabbiporkchop and 1 other person Thank this. -

While I've not worked for them, I did apply long ago. They too so long to return a call, I actually forgot I even applied.
By then I was working elsewhere.
They contacted me again recently, her name is Wendy Horowitz(whorowitz@stevenstanker.com)
and her number is 866-780-8320
They're hiring in TX, LA, OK.
I know she mentioned Kerne, Victoria, Houston, and some other smaller towns by Austin/San Antonio.
They have House at some yards, the pay was $70 a load if I'm not mistaken.
Been a couple months since I spoke to her. The one major complaint people seem to have is they never have tools they need, so they have to ninja around the yards and take them from other trucks to build a complete set of what they need daily. Sounds like a Charlie Foxtrot from jump to me.Mattaponi Guard Thanks this. -
I know in San Antonio they're paying "24% of gross, not to include fsc" on the sand hauling side. We ran some loads on a few Stevens wells, there's a lot of waiting and don't pay demurrage until after 12 hours, for us at least.
The pusher was also a driver, said he has to stay out three weeks at a time for 4 to 5 days off and has never brought home over 1400.00 in a week. Like it was said before, I can't recommend them unless it's your only option.tlalokay and rabbiporkchop Thank this. -
Stevens doesn't pay. No reason to go there. Other companies pay better and will also take you with zero sand experience. Doesn't take but about 4 maybe 5 loads to learn.
rabbiporkchop, Anthonydubois524 and Jzkool3 Thank this. -
I'm transferring over to tanker division in about a week. The sand hauling side of it is booming and they are expanding into neighboring states. Every time I'm at the yard I see brand new vantage tankers leaving the yard
