Okay. I have driven box trucks to 18 wheelers with trailers from 24 footers to 53. Generally you can tell if any tire is flat. But if you say you cant. Ill take you at your word.

Why would you plan on going through an SAP? As far as the company you were working for when you failed your drug test, dont list it as a former employer on your application. Like a previous poster stated earlier, there is no database for failed tests but there will be one soon. Apply for jobs and where it asks if you have ever failed a drug test, answer "No". You'll be fine. I support the use of marijuana while off the clock but the idiots controlling the regulations have their heads so far up their ##### its going to be a long time before we are able to smoke on our own time, if ever. Good luck driver!

To be more specific it was the inner driver side on the front rear axle and it wasnt flat exactly it just had little psi. And while I did have a suspicion I'm not super experienced and I never disputed the oos. All it did was add an hour to my day waiting for a tire change. And I probably should have stopped and checked on my first suspicion but I didn't and had no argument with the trooper over the violation

I think you're off the hook for that one. Had it been on the rear front axle...

Everybody that is telling the OP they are OK because the company did not report it is giving this OP BAD BAD advice. The fricking company is NOT the issue. It is the MRO. There is a record of the failed drug test. In the future when the MRO database is up and running you will NOT be able to legally drive a CMV. If there is any kind of an accident that gets Attorneys involved said attorney can get through discovery all this testing information. DAC is only a database. Trust me when you make future applications and this turns up in a fax to your old company your application is going to be filed in the circular file.

That is probably your best option. Be prepared for that to be on your record and even harder to find a job. But it is your best move.

There is no MRO database yet....If you do the SAP deal you are hanging yourself for at least 3 years and will NOT get hired...

I know a driver who has failed 3 drug tests for THC....He is still driving and never went through SAP....Yes,it is his fault for smoking but what he does on the weekend is not the DOT's business!...
I see guys all the time chugging beer all weekend and then go to work driving....Yea,it is legal but to me they are more of a danger than the guy who smokes a little on his days off...

You have a new baby coming and need employment...just find a driving job and put this behind you!
The MRO is at these so called DOT approved labs...all they care about is testing pee and getting paid.
The ONLY person they notify is the driver first then the company that paid for the test!

By the time this MRO database goes into affect and IF it does you will probably not even be in the system...

Sorry Moose1958,not trying to argue your point driver but I have seen drivers who smoke and just move onto another job...

Right now I doubt there will be any fallout from the positive. However be advised you could get into a world of legal trouble if your ever in a serious accident and in the future just quitting and getting another job will be impossible once this MRO database is up and running. Best advice stop using the 5 drugs the FMCSA has prohibited. As to this positive I don't ever give advice to anybody to violate the law. You are technically disqualified RIGHT NOW!
