I've been driving my butt off lately. I'm dropping this trailer off at the warehouse and hooking to a Orlando bound load for Friday, then I should be able to turn around for a run back up either before the holiday, or drop it at the warehouse until after the holiday and maybe I can take a 34 at home before running until the 16th...camping time again. (Fishing time too)

    RERM Thanks this.

At gaston Indiana petro. I started to smell fuel, so I'm in line at the shop. It's dripping like an old coffee maker. So it's not a thing I can wait and get done later.

I guess the "good" news is, it's not a fuel leak. It's a transmission leak. In the shops opinion I should be good to roll with it until it starts to slip or grind. Being a holiday weekend, it would be near impossible to get into a dealership shop. So I'll deliver this, see about getting back to a comfortable area and get it looked at properly as soon as I can.

Ok. So the petro tech is either lazy or stupid.
Ended up going to freightliner dealer in Anderson Indiana. They confirmed my first suspicion. Fuel line needs replaced. So I'm here until tomorrow because parts come from Memphis.

Google hydraulic hose in that area, call around and find out who makes fuel lines. I know Freightliner and peterbilt in Greensboro nc use a local shop to make them. They just call with the specs, then pick them up.

I'm already on the road again.
Turns out whoever they called last night after the truck was done went ahead and paid the bill. Rather than calling me to pay it. Now it's an accounting nightmare to get things straight again.
They did tell me I had the option to repay over 8 weeks, so I guess I'll do that in case I need my current funds to cover a different "what if?" Scenario

Wow. There are a lot of armchair quarterback experts out there.
Reading these threads and just waiting to pounce and judge a driver who took the plunge and is making it.
It's easy for a company driver to look over the fence and say how big of a mistake it is to go to a LP route.
It's fine really. When you have to run your obligated 7 days to earn your 1 day off, or do your dedicated home weekly, or even home every day deal...
I'll go camping for a week in July. I'll take my family to Disney for the 2nd time in 2 years, and stay on property to avoid driving in Orlando. I'll take them to great wolf lodge and visit their grandmother for a week in December. Because I don't have a schedule lording over me. Making me "earn" home time.
My bills are paid. I drive when I want and I've earned the privilege to park it as long as I want. (January and February sound good)
This isn't a contest. Failure is success training.
And to sit from a company drivers seat and call someone stupid for giving an LP a whirl is ignorant, uninformed, and hateful jealousy.
It's not that they don't have the bravery to try, it's that they don't have the courage to fail, and try again.
    Keep preaching there hemorrhoid.

I'm out of Vicks vapor rub. That sucks. I use it to put on my feet to combat my dry, cracked skin. I swear it works better than any lotion. Kills any fungus I may have picked up too.

Ran into a heck of a storm coming south. Decided to park in wildwood and deliver Orlando tomorrow.
Going to do my best to salvage my next 2 weeks out here.
Then camping I go. (And fishing)

What kind of a world are we living in when we can't trust a news network to provide hard news with sources and based on fact?
Seems everywhere I look I'm seeing opinions and theory. I miss Mort Crimm
