Sup gang. Tonight I'm in Wilmington, Ohio. Today was a complete 180 from yesterday. The weather, for starters, wasn't just good. It was downright beautiful. And the roads were blessedly clear until the car-tards got up and moving. That happened a little east of Indy. At that point, is was heavier than normal traffic. But, it moved fairly smoothly all things considered. I got to the final, signed in, and had a dock within 5 minutes. Once docked, I was unloaded in 15 minutes. Yeah, you read that right. 15 minutes. Those guys were in a hurry to leave lol. Opie warned me that there wasn't much of anything for freight, which I was already expecting. Fingers crossed, waiting for a response...
"I wanted a mission. And, for my sins, they gave me one."
Lol. Name that movie! Opie gave me the option of going to Trenton and sitting til Wednesday morning, or taking a short trip from Trenton to PA. Yes, please, I'll take that trip. When he offered it to me he said I could run by home and hang out until I needed to leave. Once I picked the load up and plugged it into my GPS my jaw dropped. Home is NOT on the way to this load. I messaged him to make sure that he knew that fact. He said that he knew, and was okay with it. "I assumed that would be better than sitting in Trenton" was his response. Well hell yeah man, and thanks! Here's the pisser though...if I had pushed through Chicago last night, I'd be home tonight. But I don't have the hours to get there now. Bummer man. That's cool though. I'll be there in the morning. Good enough. My daughter came completely unglued when she found out she was going to see me, that was awesomeWhen I picked up the load at the drop yard, I brought it back to the terminal to weigh it, adjust my tandems, and fuel up. While I was there, I knocked on Bill's classroom door. Love that guy. I always make a point to say hello. Plus, I wanted to meet @Chad H and wish him luck on is first day of class
Pleasure to have met you, sir. My load doesn't deliver until noon Wednesday. My wife can't get me until 11am tomorrow, and it's a guarantee that Uber won't be available in the early morning. So, I'm chillin' at Max and Erma's sipping a beer and loving it. Won't be leaving this truck stop for 12 hours from now, might as well enjoy a cold one and a burger. That's all I got for now. Except for this...what the hell happened to the drop yard? Jesus man that place is a friggin mess. Gonna be honest, it sucks now. Tracked some nasty crap into my truck from whatever they sprayed on the dirt. And some dbag from another company came out of the entrance like he was in an Indy car, and flicked me off because he apparently thought it was not okay for me to be in his way when he came flying out. Christ man, slow the hell down. I'm going to start calling ahead to see if they'll pull my load to the terminal. F that place, it's awful now. Alrighty y'all, time to sign off. As always, be safe. Catch ya later. Peace.

Yea drop lot sucks with all the outside carriers in there now. There is just no room there anymore. Hopefully plans are in the works to get more room. Also last wk there my buddy and me on same day go to pick up our load and its dropped so low we cant even get our tires under trailer. Looked around yard and multiple trailers were same way. I know they've hired bunch of new spotters there cuz of the added workload, but hopefully it gets taken care of
