Common sense VS. GPS

    The new breed trucker made it obsolete. Also, at this time there is no way to reverse it. However. it seems there is a small chance of bringing back respect and manners.

    Facebook and Common Core Math have done NOTHING for our children.. That's why mine do not PLAY those games.

    There was one in Ohio just a while back; a missing young lady; they found that she drove down a boat ramp, following her GPS NOT EVEN FAR from home. Sad.

    I never have the sound turned on with my gps. I also run it "north up always". I strictly operate based on what it's indicating visually, (within easy view), while maintaining my bearings with north being up.

    Relying on audio cues and using that bizarre rotating 3D view, and being map-challenged, I can see many doing stupid things in unfamiliar areas, especially in the dark or dense fog.
