Interesting about Cars Arrive, we have been on it for a long time, no problem but we have been established for 14 years. My brother however just retired from a career in corrections after many years away from car hauling, got his own authority and Cars Arrive was his first load board. He had a harder time getting onto Ready Auto/1Dispatch, we ended up helping him get loads from there until they would accept him on his own. I thought Cars Arrive was pretty easy to qualify for. Good luck with your new venture.

I explained to her that I have been in the biz for years but since I was only on Central for a month they felt that I needed more reviews and stuff. I will just wait another month and try again. Not a big deal I got in with some really good companies that are giving me steady runs. So I cant complain.

Guys, I am a bit off the topic here but I am just curious if you are practising making discounts when you get one load with 3 or 5 cars from one customer by way of example. Or do you stick to your own rate per load and don't care if it is 1 car load or 5 car load? Cause there are a lot of customers who ask for additional discount basing on number of cars. What's your opinion? Thanks!

I usually don't give discounts for one time customers, if they establish a pattern of high volume and no hassle I may give them a discount. Now, if it is a really good load and there is enougj margin in it to give a one time customer a discount I may, but only if it is the only way to get the load.

I gave up giving discounts and favors in return for the promise of more work, show me the work and loyality first and then after a few months we can revisit the rate structure. Too many dealers tey to uses salesmen tactics on us, and if you are not careful you will fall prey to their shrewd ways.

Amen, just because you think the snake is smiling doesn't mean he's not going to bite, it's what he does.
