Hey mickeyrat (that names gives me a chuckle everytime btw) and anyone else working at Schneider. I need some help with something. Due to start finally with SNI and been offered the Anheuser-Busch account out of Portland (so driving WA, OR, ID). I know these are heavy loads but just wondering if it's a good idea to take this account being my first trucking job and all? Mainly chose because heard they use new trailers, have autos, and work only a week out. Or would it be better starting OTR first then move to dedicated? Thanks

 

I appreciate the positive response. I figured even though it's heavy weight dedicated that maybe the weights would be the same and all I would have to do is check to make sure is legal. I know the roads up here pretty well and there is some night driving required which is what I wanted. I was surprised they would hire a new guy for this account but I guess they will train. Only thing I know for sure is there is some waiting around with this account and that it will burn up your 14-hour clock. Guess I'm just nervous.

 

You'll be pulling the 4 axle trailers that they've got for that account

 

Picked up a relay load at Laredo. Missing the air line grommets. Nice to know some things never change.

 

Good? bad? I read the trailers are newish.

ok well looks like they want me to take a refresher now. Not so sure as I don't want to be stuck into a contract and have to pay back 1200. especially with a starter company.
