thinking of applying with boyd. What are their general freight areas. Southeast and midwest? What are the average miles. 2,400 or more?

Unfortunately yes. My understanding is that student drivers get them but experienced drivers do not and students may have them removed after 3 to 6 months IIRC.

    Tico79 Thanks this.

Depends on where you live, I live in SC and they run me mostly in PA NC OH TA and VA. A driver I went through orientation with lives in AL and usually stays out west more in OK MO TX AR AND IN. We haul a lot for Gerdau and US Gypsum.

    Tico79 Thanks this.

Boyd is owned by www.Daseke.com which owns 13 flatbed companies.
    Waggoners Trucking uses owner-operators.

Boyd bros is running owner op job ads on indeed. I've heard good and bad about company drivers but nothing about o/o

I know we have O/O's but that's about it. Boyd only pays them 70% of line haul IIRC. Most Boyd O/O's are lease drivers that paid their truck off and just never left. Trucks starting with 8 or 9 are company (8915 or 9004), 15 and 12 are lease (12085 or 15173)and 20 is O/O (20078)
